ILLINOIS VOICES ANNOUNCES LATEST PRODUCTIONS
In collaboration with The
McLean County Museum of
History Illinois Voices Theatre and Artistic Director Judy Brown will once again bring history to life in the 2011
Discovery
Walk in Evergreen Cemetery. To commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Civil War, the Evergreen Cemetery Discovery Walk will feature citizens from McLean County whose lives were impacted by this historic war. Proceeds from the sale of public
performances will be used to bring in students from area schools for
performances throughout the week.

Theatre One Shot Deal Series at Eaton Studio
New Route Theatre presents new as well as established works that explore the nautre of the human spirit in the context of ethical, political, and social choices.

Send the Light, NTR's first original production, premiered at the McLean County Historical Museum. Written by Don Shandrow with lyrics by Phil Shaw, it explores the wonder of
change when electricity came to rural America through the Rural
Electric Cooperatives.

the Studs
Terkel Humanitarian Award
Judy
Brown, Artistic Director and founder of Illinois Voices
Theatre,
was honored at an Illinois Humanities Council reception in Chicago on
October 17th. Nominated by Bloomington Mayor Steve
Stockton, Brown was named a 2006 Studs
Terkel Humanities Service Award winner to honor her years of
work creatively using theater to
interpret and
present the history of
Illinois.
The Illinois Humanities Council launched The Studs Terkel Humanities
Service
Award program in 1999 in which mayors are asked to nominate those
individuals,
primarily volunteers, who have championed the humanities in their
communities.
The program is now run on a biennial schedule. [For the

ITC -- MISSION STATEMENT
The Illinois Theatre Consortium (ITC) is Central Illinois' unique not-for-profit theatrical management group, offering marketing and development support for its member and contractural theatre companies.
The consortium is respected for its
ability
to produce unique theatre of consistently high standards and artistic
vision for under-served and non-traditional audiences. It is
devoted to promoting
innovative work by Illinois theatrical artists.
In addition, the Illinois
Theatre
Consortium offers production assistance and workshops in theatre
management, production, and performance lead by theatrical professionals.
ITC also has
a limited selection of
lighting equipment and sound equipment for rent.
