IVT logo Illinois Voices Theatre is a national and state award-winning history-based theater, devoted to bringing the pst to life through original and innovative scripts based on historical records and documents.  This theatre coordinates projects that encourage creativity and stimulate discussion and debate.

          Discovery Walk 2007, in collaboration with the McLean County Historical Society and Evergreen Cemetery, Bloomington, Illinois.


Past Productions and Collaborations:

Voices From the Past: A Discovery Walk Through Evergreen Cemetery  a collaboration with the McLean County Historical Society, 1995 to present (annually, 1st two weekends in Oct. for the general public and during the week for school children)
 
Gwendolyn Brooks: Painting on Air, two open- and free-to-the-public workshop presentations and post-presentation discussions for the playwright, director, and actors at the Bloomington Public Library, Aug. 26, 2005/ presentations at the McLean County Museum of History and Normal Community High School, Normal, IL in February of 2006.
 
Holy Trinity Discovery Walk, 8th grade curriculum-wide project culminating with creation of their own walk through Bloomington’s St. Mary’s Cemetery, April 2005
